Magical Creatures

Acromântula- acromântula is a spider with eight eyes, capable of a human speech. It is originally from Borneo, where the dense jungle lives. Its characteristic feature is the thick black hair that covers its body. Their legs can reach four and a half meters, their tongs produce a special click and a poisonous secretion whenever the Acromântula is excited or in fury. Acromântula is carnivorous and prefers big game. It weaves rounded ridge webs over the floor. The female is larger than the male and can hatch more than 100 eggs at once. Soft and white, the eggs from which the chicks hatch about six to eight weeks later are the size of beach balls and are classified as non-marketable Class A merchandise by the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. This means that there are serious fines for sealing or importing. This monster is believed to be created by sorcerers with the possible intention of guarding their homes and treasures, as often happens with magically created monsters. Despite its intelligence close to that of the human, the Acromantula is indomesticable and extremely dangerous for both sorcerers and Muggles.
