Magical Creatures
Clabbert- Clabbert is a creature that lives in trees, with the appearance of a monkey-to-frog cross. Originally from South America, however, it was exported to the whole world. Her smooth, hairless skin is a mottled green. The hands and feet are provided with an interdigital membrane and the arms and legs are long, allowing Clabbert to swing between the branches with the agility of an orangutan. The head has small horns and the open mouth, which appears to smile, is full of razor-shaped teeth. Clabbert feeds mainly on small lizards and birds. Its most distinctive feature is the large protuberance that it has in the middle of the forehead and that turns scarlet, flashing when it senses danger. American wizards even had Clabberts in their gardens to let them know that Muggles was approaching, but the International Wizards' Confederation introduced fines that ended this practice. The image of a tree at night full of bright clumps of Claberts attracted too many Muggles, eager to know why their neighbors switched on the Christmas lights in June.
