Crup- The Crup is from the South East of England. It looks a lot like a Jack Russell terrier, except for its forked tail. The Crup is almost certainly a dog created by wizards, as it is fervently loyal to wizards and fierce towards Muggles. It feeds on dead bodies or rotting meat and also gnomes and old trees. Crup licenses can be obtained from the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures in exchange for a simple test that proves that the sorcerer in question is able to control Crup in areas inhabited by Muggles. Crup owners are required by law to take their tail off with a painless separation spell as long as the Crup is between six and eight weeks old so that the Muggles will not notice him.
