Lethifold (Living Shroud) - Lethifold is fortunately a rare creature that can be found only in tropical climates. It resembles a black cloak, perhaps an inch and slightly thicker (thicker it was recently killed and digested the victim), which slides across the floor at night. The last reference we have to a Lethifold was made by the sorcerer Flavius Belby, who was lucky to escape the attack of a Lethitold in 1782 while on vacation in Papua New Guinea. As Belby reveals so dramatically, Patronus is the only spell that repels Lethitold. As he tends to attack his victims in his sleep, he is rarely able to defend himself. After being able to smother the prey, Lethifold digests the food right there on the bed. Then he leaves the house, slightly thicker and fatter than before, leaving no trace of himself or his victim.
